Bad pics but great deals!

So I got to WI and it was NOT warm yet so I went to Walmart to find a cheap sweatshirt and I bought 2!

I bought 2 because they were only $3 each and I expected to spend 10 to 15$.

It wasn't a sweat shirt but this cute shirt was again...$3!  I added a belt I had and loved it!

It would be cute in a high waisted pencil skirt too!

Then I found this cute reversible shirt and I figured (again) $3 for a comfy long sleeve shirt?! Done!

I'm not sure about this one but the yellow is fun.

Yeah for Walmarts clearance section! (Who would have EVER thought I'd say that)

The long and short of it...

I got hooked on Maxi dresses last year and bought a few.  I got a couple from ebay and not trying them on before I bought them didnt work out so well.

Here is one of them.

I LOVED the detail on the top and bottom of this dress so I just couldn't give it up even though I haven't worn it once yet.

I pulled it out of my closet yesterday and had an idea!  I didn't like this dress because I have permanent emotional scars from being tall and having pants that flood.  SO, I grabbed a belt and pulled the dress up until it hit me at the knees.

Ta'da!!!

SHORT:

LONG:

Now that I look at where it hits me in the pictures its not THAT bad or THAT short.  I'm just weird and don't like things hitting me at the ankle because that is flooding.  What do you think...is it flooding or not?!

First Slightly Warm Day at the Beach...

FINALLY, some decent weather.  There's only been a few sunny days and most of them are still bitter cold but Sunday was finally slightly warm!

We all headed to the beach with toys to play.  Of course, the temperature dropped quite a few degrees when we got closer to the water.  I was happy that I stayed in jeans and that I brought an extra sweat shirt.  haha!  Welcome to Wisconsin.

I hope it just keeps getting better and better.

The boys were playing a Frisbee football or something.

When the boys took a break to catch their breath Matt came and met us on the blankets.
Unlike last time when we had no where to sit and were freezing, this time we were prepared.
The wives hung out and watched the boys be boys.

The little munchkin was so good!
 So dang cute.
Austin (in green) grabbed Brooks and the whole group of boys stood around and made faces and noises at him.  The pictures just don't capture how funny they were being around the baby.

 Isn't is beautiful!?!?

 Mama and the baby snuggling

Lindsey and I went on a run today and it was beautiful.  Even with all the wind it was still warm and I tried to see if the pool was open but its not.  Maybe I was extra warm after running but I felt like I could handle laying out finally!  Too bad.  They said maybe by next week because they are heating the pool.

Book number 1...DONE!

I have a list of projects that I want to do this summer while I have extra time and one of them is catching up on photo books.  I want one done for each year of our marriage (we have 3 years down and 0 books made) until now!

I finished my first book and even better than finishing is how much I spent on it!

Back at our 2nd anniversary I did start our 1st year book but then stopped when I realized the price.  It was going to cost me $80 and I just couldn't do it.  I think the books are less expensive in general now, but even better is they have GROUPONS and Living Social deals for them!

I paid $10 for $50 towards a book with Vistaprint.  This 8x8 book with a hard cover came out to cost $57 and then had $6 shipping. (They also gave me a discount because I was signed into my living social account so the $57 was already 30% off)

For some reason the Living Social code took off the whole book so all I paid was shipping!!

SO, I paid $16.  TOTAL

Now that I have started book #2 I can tell that this Vistaprints program was a lot more simple (had less options) than the one I am using right now.  So the back grounds and layouts are pretty simple and not exciting but who cares.

The same book with this next groupon I have will still cost me $45 even with the deal.  So, its a toss up in my mind.

Finally!

I have been wanting one of these things for a while and its so dumb and simple but it is great!

When I get out of the shower I don't want to put any kind of clothes on until my body is completely dry so I always stay in my towel but then as I try to put lotion on, my towel has issues staying in place if you know what I mean.

I finally found this towel for $5 at Walmart (of course) and I LOVE it.

It has the option of straps or no straps and it stays in place.  PERFECT!

Oh the simple things that make me happy now-a-days.

Oh my gosh, I'm addicted!!

So, I now LOVE looking at the clearance racks at Walmart because of the good finds I've got there.

Well, there are clearance racks in the food isles as well.

Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE and am obsessed with kettle corn.  Any fair or game, I MUST buy the fresh amazing kettle corn.  Its so good.  I finally found a brand of packaged kettle corn that tastes almost like it was just made in a kettle...at the fair.

So, as I'm walking down the clearance isle, THIS catches my eye...

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I'm done for.  Its so good.  I've gone through 4 bags in 4 days!  I had never seen it before.  I ALSO love anything CINNAMON AND SUGAR so kettle corn and cinnamon and sugar AND a frosting...AHHHH its heaven.  Everyone I have let have a small handful comes back for more.  Its addicting.

So here is my last confession...

I'm stocking up.  I know! Its so sad.  But its on clearance.  Its only $1.50 and its my favorite! (I just cant allow myself to eat a bag a day anymore).  Every time I go to Walmart I have to buy a few bags (thats right, not just one) and if you remember I go to Walmart almost everyday here in Sheboygan because I don't have much else to do.

Oh man... I have to keep doing Insanity or I'm going to blow up! :)

Blow up with me! :)  Go to Walmart or here http://www.popcornindiana.com/products/cinnamon-sugar

Good old Walmart again....

I'm not a mother but I got mothers day flowers!

Flowers from a florist are undoubtedly BEAUTIFUL but they are even more undeniably SO DANG expensive.

I tell Matt that I LOVE flowers but please do not spend much on them.

SO, these are the flower I received the other day and just love.   I'm cheap.  Flowers die.  So, the price makes them SO MUCH more pretty to me :)

1 dozen roses for $5.  Booya!

I just love having flowers in the house.  I haven't gotten any for a while though so all I had to put them in was a pitcher for water and not even a glass one.  It was a ghetto plastic one.  So, I ran to the dollar store and snagged this one.  NOT BAD RIGHT?!

$6 for beauty in my home.
